It’s REALLY happening.

First off, WE HAVE A BUYER! A deal isn’t done until the check is in the bank, but our date of closing is 10-31-14. Fingers crossed!

This is our "SO DAMN HAPPY THE HOUSE FINALLY SOLD" pose.

This is our “SO DAMN HAPPY THE HOUSE FINALLY SOLD” pose.

We will miss our previous countdown to departure  (down south) by about 15 days. We are now shooting for 12-1-14 to be moving onto our floating home. But all things considered, we don’t think that is too shabby. We have to be out of our house in 12 days. Things are pretty much batshit crazy.  Boxes everywhere.  Cabinets being emptied. Courtney yelling at me that we have ALOT of work to do. I’m more glass-half-full and like to be in denial on these types of things.  We have our remaining big ticket items listed on CL and are hoping we can unload them within the week. After much debate, we have decided to store 10 boxes or so of things that we just can’t let go of.

I am heading to YOLO tomorrow, for the week, with MANY more projects to complete. I will post some updates and photos once on board.

Now random picture time.

Congratulations!! So exciting!! We’ve got friends that just left the bay, heading for La Paz on their Pearson 36. They should be in Mexico/Baja for about a month. They are a great British couple and I think you guys would have fun together 🙂 Let me know if you’d like to exchange information.

I can’t wait to hear more!!

    Hi Guys,

Glad to see you are making progress. I was beginning to wonder what was going on with you.

Maybe we should get a countdown clock as some motivation. We are dragging our feet a little. Everything takes longer than we think it will.

Do you have a plan on where you plan to sail?

Hi Mark and Cindy! Congrats to you both on moving onto Cream Puff. I have been enjoying your posts! Sorry to hear about the tragic loss of your underwear! That could be worthy of an Unsolved Mysteries episode. I hope the transition is going well. Our plans (highly subject to change) include getting down further south on mainland side of Pacific Mexico – Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta, and beyond. Haven’t decided what to do for summer/hurricane season quite yet. Aiming for Pacific Puddle Jump in March of 2016. 6 days and we will be on YOLO!
