OPINIONS are like nipples…everybody has one.
October 20, 2013
As of this date, very few people know about our planned journey. While this isn’t completely intentional, we simply haven’t broadcast it to the masses.
But, you may ask, aren’t you already blogging on the World Wide Web? Why yes, we are, but we haven’t had our IPO as of yet. It is coming very soon. Considering one of my two jobs involves a lot of idle time at 37,000 feet, I have been compelled to share “the plan” with a lot of my pilot associates. It is quite refreshing that every one of them have been rather supportive and maybe even a little envious. This could just be a byproduct of a pilot’s desire for excitement, adventure, travel, etc.
On the flip side, I have encountered a few folks who are a wee bit negative on the whole concept. They just can’t seem to grasp dropping out of the “real world” in the so called prime of our careers to go float around in the ocean for awhile. I guess I get it in a way, as it does seem a little aggressive. Then again, so is working two full time jobs and not seeing your wife and kids but for a few hours a week.
I really hope once we do put this blog out there to the public, we will get additional input on this dream of ours. I am excited to see some comments roll in people, so please don’t hold back.
